The work of Silvia Badalotti is absolutely original and characterized by a personal study in the creation of images that she has been able to transform into a real production of artistic value. For this reason, works of commercial nature are often accompanied by artistic collaborations with foundations and publishing houses.
She is a talented photographer, endowed with a remarkable capacity for composition and obsessive in her cultural research. For the character of her photographic production, she usually deals with the totality of the realization of the images: from the research for style, to the composition, up to the elaboration of the digital retouching.
Since 1992 she has been collaborating with the main Italian and international newspapers. Her works can be admired in magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, Wired, Riders, Class, Elle, IoDonna and CartierArt of the Cartier Foundation in Paris.
At the same time she creates advertising campaigns with important agencies such as JWT, McCann Erickson Worldwide and Ogilvy, Publicis and with some Italian brands: Prada, Tod’s, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, S. Pellegrino, Bulgari. Thanks to the collaboration with the Cartier Foundation, in 2006 she was in charge of a special issue of CartierArt for the anniversary of Maison Cartier in Rue de la Paix – Paris, together with ten international photographers including Duglas Kirkland, Jean Larivère, Peter Lippmann, Maurizio Galimberti and Stephen Roach.
For the Cologni Foundation she created a personal exhibition and a book, together with journalist Patrizia Sanvitale titled Il Cioccolataio, which in 2005 won the Eurochocolate Award for publishing as best publication.
Her work is appreciated internationally: Milan, Paris, New York and London are the privileged places for study and inspiration. In 2015 she won the Cool-Book, a prize awarded by Canon during the Milan Fashion Week.
